A Hot Fix is available which fixes an issue with DR on Microsoft Server 2003 in TapeWare 7.0 sp7d.
With the release of Service Pack 1 for Server 2003, Microsoft has made some major changes to the underlying driver structure of this OS. Without this patch, TapeWare 7.0 sp7d cannot correctly protect these files, and DR will fail during recovery.
To enable support in TapeWare for the
Dell PV-124T you must install the latest version
of TapeWare and install the patch available as
zip file.
To install the patch: Close the TapeWare program, and stop the TapeWare service. Replace the
file 'TWTAPDEV.INI' in the TapeWare directory with the file downloaded above, and restart the
TapeWare service.
Please note: TapeWare does not support the software ejection of magazines, therefore please
consult the PV-124T User Guide for instruction on ejecting magazines from the front controls
of the device.
