School District Needed to Choose - Elementary!

This elementary school district in Idaho made the decision to move away from tape backup, to take advantage of the efficiencies and cost effectiveness promised by backup to disk. The distributed environment in this district includes several servers in the district office, plus a server linked to a desktop with a removable hard drive in each school. Yosemite backup Advanced provides all the features that make such an installation possible and easy to implement and administer.

The customer settled on a Media Server & Client Server in each school with Master and Client servers in the district office. The catalog runs the remote backups but each school is able to backup to the local disk for speedier backups. In addition to the functionality, the cost of the solution was attractive to a school district on a limited budget. Based on all these factors, the customer selected Yosemite Technologies over a proposal utilizing Backup Exec from Veritas.
